Female leaders to hash out role of women in politics at panel discussion

A group of influential female leaders are set to take the stage for a panel discussion all about women in politics.

The Dulwich Society will host Women & Politics at Alleyn’s School, in Townley Road, on March 4, to mark International Women’s Day 2025.

The panel lineup features Baroness Harriet Harman, Britain’s longest-serving female MP, Baroness Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat peer, Helen Hayes, MP for Dulwich and West Norwood, Naima Ali, Mayor of Southwark and Resham Kotecha, of mentoring group Women2Win.

The discussion will be chaired by BBC News correspondent and political reporter Aruna Iynegar, known for her research on issues facing women in the political sphere.

The talk will run from 7.30pm until 9pm with tickets priced at £13.

A spokeswoman from Dulwich Society said: “All proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity, making your participation an opportunity to support a great cause while engaging with some key issues of our time. Don’t miss out on this exciting and empowering event!”
