Get ready for Christmas at the South Bank

The South Bank is a magical place to be no matter what time of year it is, but come Christmas it gets an added injection of sparkle.

The riverside stretch twinkles under Christmas lights as the sound of festive music echoes through the markets where pop up bars are full of cheerful revellers.

While the winter may be dark and dreary, it’s time to forget the winter blues and give your Christmas a jolt of energy with a host of free events coming to this bustling spot.

First up, Between the Bridges is hosting its Electric Winter programme with a full line up of events taking place at The Queen’s Walk site until January.

The venue is fully covered, heated and decked out with eight bars and a series of street food stalls.
