Horror drama RedCon-1 premier at the Raindance Film Festival 2018 will be red hot

The horror drama RedCon-1 starring Kennington-raised Oris Erhuero, features a thrilling mix of horror, drama and action, and is coming to cinemas next Friday.

Premiering at the Raindance Film Festival 2018, RedCon-1 makes full use of leading man Oris Erhuero’s prior experience working with martial arts legends Hark Tsui and Woo-Ping Yuen to create a unique blend of stylish action and disturbing horror.

The award-winning actor, who went to Beaufoy Boys School – now Lillian Baylis Technology School in Kennington – is no stranger to action, building a deep resume working with some of the biggest names in the movie industry.

Working alongside Idris Elba, Guy Richie, Dennis Hopper and Benjamin Bratt in the past, Oris Erhuero brings a contained intensity to the role of Captain Marcus Stanton, a man who must save a scientist who could hold the key to mankind’s salvation.

Oris Erhuero said: “I couldn’t be happier with the way RedCon-1 has turned out.

It feels like the perfect mix of horror, drama and action and, to be honest, it’s been a great film for exploring the different facets of acting I love to get into.

“The film has everything audiences want to see and, speaking as an actor, it was just a great experience overall. I really felt like I got a chance to stretch my acting muscles in many different ways.

“There’s a lot of talent on RedCon-1 – both on-screen and behind the camera – and the production process was one of the most fulfilling I’ve ever been a part of.

And, of course, it’s always a great honour for any film to be selected for the Raindance Festival.

Now I’m just excited to see how the audience react to what we’ve created, because RedCon-1 feels very fresh and unique.

It was an amazing experience making the movie and I think that really comes across on-screen.”
