Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra billed for Battersea Park in Concert
Battersea Park in Concert is set to return this year for a weekend of live music and community celebration.
As part of Wandsworth’s London Borough of Culture 2025 celebrations, Battersea Park in Concert will run across the weekend of August 23 to 25.
Three brand new, specially curated outdoor concerts are billed for this year’s line up.
First up, Pete Harrison will conduct The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra into a Symphonic Disco with special guest singers to reimagine a full set of classics.
Sparkling mirrors balls will adorn the summer night’s sky as the incredible Royal Philharmonic reel through the hits from ABBA, Earth Wind & Fire, Dua Lipa, Sister Sledge, Chic, Kool & The Gang, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Donna Summer, Boney M, Bee Gees and many more.
Support comes from Ronnie Scott’s resident soulstress Natalie Williams and her band, presenting a selection of sunny-side-up soul classics to get the party started in style.
This will be followed up by Sunday’s Night At The Movies where families and friends can join the Orchestra as it journeys through some of the best movie music of all time.
Culminating in a magnificent fireworks finale and all set to the backdrop of a wonderful summer’s evening in Battersea Park.
Elsewhere, Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra will take to the stage, accompanied by special guest and fellow Squeeze member Chris Difford.
This will be supported by an afternoon of jazz featuring MOBO Award-winning saxophonist, YolanDa Brown, and a one-off show from Ella Fitzgerald Reimagined where British jazz royalty Jacqui Dankworth, Elaine Delmar and Ian Shaw will showcase the greatest hits from the jazz and swing legend.
As part of Wandsworth’s 2025 London Borough of Culture, Battersea Park in Concert will provide an allocation of ‘Access for All’ discounted entrance tickets.
