Keats’ poetry displayed at London Bridge

A display of John Keats’ poetry has been installed at London Bridge railway station, marking 200 years since the writer’s death.

Poems have also been put up in railway carriages throughout the underground.

The collection features the poems Endymion and When I have fears that I may cease to be” by Keats.

Mark Evers, from TfL, said: “Appreciation of nature was a theme present in a lot of Keats’s work, which is something most of us have related to in the last year.

“Given the lockdown restrictions, nature has been a way for us to disconnect from our day to day routines.

We hope this new collection of nature-inspired poems brightens up the journeys of those who are travelling during these difficult times.”
