Latino Weekends: Series of workshops, live music and street food
As Latino carnival season sets off in full swing, The Market at Elephant Park has announced Latino Weekends: Flavours and Finds.
Kicking-off on March 1, the outdoor market in Elephant & Castle will bring visitors a series of interactive workshops, live music performances and delicious street food all celebrating Latin American culture.
Taking place every Saturday and Sunday until March 23, each weekend will spotlight a different Latino country, taking you on a journey through Colombia, Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela.
Inside The Tree House adjacent to the market, a jam-packed programme of workshops will explore Latin American craft, music, and food and drink.
Within the market, enjoy live music every Saturday from a vibrant Mariachi El Mexicano duo and soulful Venezuelan Luzmira Zerpa to talented Colombian musicians as well as a Capoeira school showcase.
Each weekend will feature tasty dishes from Latino street food stalls, from Colombia’s famous pandebonos to Brazilian street food from the state of Minas Gerais, authentic Mexican tacos and generously filled Venezuelan arepas.
Workshops are bookable via www.elephantparkmarket.co.uk and only cost £5 each.
