New show Belly of the Whale comes to Deptford

Ockham’s Razor, winners of the Total Theatre and Jacksons Lane Award for Circus at the Edinburgh Fringe 2016, will be bringing their new show Belly of the Whale to Deptford.

This show will be a meeting of circus and sculpture.

The Belly of the Whale structure comes alive during the show, with the performers riding a giant semi-circular see-saw made of wood and steel which transforms creating an ever-changing land and soundscape.

By designing new equipment, Ockham’s Razor are constantly seeking to innovate within the confines of traditional circus.

This unique and powerful see-saw, weighing 600kg, reveals a compelling relationship of trust and reliance between the performers.
