The Clarendon Fine Art Gallery welcomes figurative artist, Fabian Perez on the opening of his new collection El Amor

A world-famous artist who was one of the official artists at the London 2012 Olympics is set to have his work displayed at a gallery in Chelsea.

The Clarendon Fine Art gallery is set to welcome figurative artist Fabian Perez to the UK on June 29 as he celebrates the opening of his new collection El Amor with a UK tour.

For this latest collection, Fabian has suspended his distinctive palette in two of his new pieces, giving them a vintage, cinematic feel, while the centrepiece of the collection returns to a world of colour in a romantic tribute to the love of his life, his wife and mother of his three children, Lucy.

In describing his new work El Amor, Fabian said: “I am constantly fighting for a more romantic world, one where power and success are not the final goal; one where the greatest pursuit of our lives is that of el amor.”

Fabian’s work often represents experiences and memories from his youth, portraying an interesting cast of characters ranging from seductive and beautiful women to the enigmatic man in the dark suit based on his own father, who ran nightclubs, tango clubs and bordellos.

Clarendon Fine Art chief executive Helen Swaby said: “This latest collection is truly inspirational and confirms Fabian as a great modern master.

We are hugely excited to welcome him back to the UK to showcase his fabulous portraits and delighted to share his romantic vision at our Clarendon and Whitewall galleries across the UK.”

Perez has won countless awards for his work some of which is owned by private collectors and many public figures including Lionel Messi, Rihanna, Pope Francis, Argentina’s President Macri and comedian John Bishop.
