The Lunar Effect: hypnotic psychedelic rock at The Underdog London
A free night of hypnotic psychedelic rock will take place at The Underdog London on May 31 with bands The Lunar Effect and Oak taking to the stage.
The Lunar Effect are a four-piece psychedelic desert rock band who describe their music as heavy psyche, fuzzy, riff-laden juggernaut with the odd patch of slow- burning grooves.
Earlier this year the band released their debut album Calm Before The Calm which came in at number nine in the Doom charts.
They say they are inspired by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and The Doors but have their own hypnotic heavy grooving blues rock sound.
This is the third time they have played at The Underdog so if you missed the first two here is your chance to enjoy the band live playing tracks from an album that will go down as a classic.
Their support act Oak said: “We take retro blues rock riffs influenced by the likes of Cream, make it filthy and down tuned and then get an actual mad man to yell over the top of it.
For fans of Cream, Mountain, Kyuss, Black Sabbath and being shouted at!”
If this sounds like your type of music, The Lunar Effect and Oak might be the next big thing.
