What’s On: The Breakout Club showcases a night of eclectic music – March 23

The Midi Music Company is partnering with Independent Venue Week for a special night at live music venue, the 100 Club in Soho.

Independent Venue Week is a seven day celebration of music venues that gives fans somewhere to get up close to artists who one day, may be filling stadiums and festival main stages.

The Breakout Club is a night of eclectic live music, showcasing the finest acts from MMC’s artist development programme and the crossover will take place on March 23.

Five piece band Terra Viva (pictured above) plays music true to its Italian roots and will take to the stage on the night.

Founded by Angelina Luzi and Devid Dell’ Aiera, Terra Viva started as a double bass and voice duo and developed into a full band with a unique sound.

The social and political issues touched by their lyrics is delivered by their music with infectious grooves that span from Gypsy to Italian folk, Rock to World Music.

Formed in a crypt under a church in Kings Cross, Lazytalk tell stories about love, life, and lager.

Fusing Indie, Reggae, Ska, Punk, and Jungle they play music from the heart with beats you can skank to.

The band’s live shows have seen them play support slots for The Specials and Babyshambles on their UK Tour, and have appeared at festivals in the UK and across Europe including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Festival and The Great Escape.

Lazytalk align themselves with the themes of British youth culture championed by the Punk and Ska movements of the 70s and 80s, the iconic UK Dance music of the 90s and say they are determined to bring back a sense of rebellion to the pop charts.

Davinah, a singer, songwriter and mother of four uses her creativity to encourage parents to follow their dreams.
She also uses her music to emphasise the importance of sisterhood.

Fresh from touring with The House And Garage Orchestra and she will be touring again later in 2020 with The Funk and Disco Orchestra.

Davinah is set for another action packed year in 2020 as she hit the ground running with her release of Queenship, the first single released on January 31 from her visual EP of the same name.
