Why not try some prison food at The Clink Restaurant
Finding a unique venue for a lunch can be a challenge especially at Christmas.
London’s innovative prisoner training initiative The Clink Restaurant at HMP Brixton provides exquisite food in a distinctive setting, and from November 27 there will be Christmas cheer in abundance when it launches its delicious Christmas Lunch menu.
The three-course festive menu begins with enticing dishes including seared tuna carpaccio with a pomegranate and chicory salad, and fig, goats cheese and spinach parcels. Quintessential Christmas choices such as roast turkey with all the trimmings are available, or diners looking for something less traditional can indulge in pan-fried fillet of sea reared trout, king prawn and sweet potato chowder.
Lunch culminates with a choice of classic Christmas pudding, crème Anglaise and a red currant coulis, or chestnut iced parfait, served with blueberry compote and lemon shortbread, while tea or coffee and a mince pie present the perfect ending to the festive feast.

The award-winning restaurant in Brixton offers guests the chance to give back in the season of goodwill, while enjoying dining experience within the walls of the Category C prison.
The classic British menu with modern twists uses locally-sourced ingredients, and is prepared and served by prisoners training in The Clink Charity scheme. Each diner of The Clink Restaurant is supporting the charity’s commitment to reducing reoffending through dedicated hospitality training, helping to transform lives and break the cycle of crime.
Available until December 21, Christmas lunch will be served from Monday to Friday at noon, 12.30pm and 1.00pm. Reservations require payment in full upon booking, with extras to be paid on the day.
