Your invitation to a Yuletide party in a beautiful South London garden
Residents are invited to a party to welcome the Christmas holiday season and see its Christmas tree lights switched on.
Bankside Open Spaces Trust invites local people to enjoy the beautiful Red Cross Garden lit up and alive with music for the Merry Mingle – an evening of fun and festivities on 13 December 2018.
Mayor Catherine Rose will join in the merriment too as she officially switches on the Red Cross Christmas tree lights at 5.30pm.
Upbeat jazz from the Holloway Allstars, led by double bassist Amy Baldwin, will get the party swinging. While crafty folk can put together a festive wreath using greenery from Bankside Open Spaces Trust’s gardens. Children are very welcome and can try their hand at a ribbon scrap Christmas tree make.
Mulled wine and other festive refreshments will be on sale to raise funds for the Trust’s much loved green spaces and volunteer projects across north Southwark.
The Trust looks forward to seeing you at Red Cross Garden on 13 December, 4-7pm. Come
toast the season with local people and businesses from across the borough!
The garden’s Christmas tree, which will be officially ‘switched on’ by the Mayor of
Southwark at the Merry Mingle, has kindly been donated by South London business
