Loanee’s Crystal Palace roots should not prevent him winning Charlton POTY award

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s Crystal Palace roots should not prevent Charlton fans voting for the winger to win their Player of the Year award.
That’s the verdict of Addicks boss Dean Holden, with the 20-year-old on a season-long loan in SE7.
He has scored 11 goals and collected eight assists in 43 matches for Charlton.
Some fans had suggested on social media that they would not vote for the Southwark-born attacker, right, for their Player of the Year award because he is contracted to Palace.
“For the way that Jes has committed himself to this club for this season, and the way he has done, he should be in the conversation,” said Holden.
“Player of the Year is a player who has contributed to a large extent in the season. It is how they have affected the team and the squad. Jes is rightly being talked about as one of the candidates for that.
“We had eight players from the academy on the pitch last week. I love working with young players. They really thrive and give it so much.”
