Man arrested after stabbing near Wandsworth Road station

A man was rushed to hospital after being knifed near Wandsworth Road railway station yesterday evening.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, rushed to the scene in Cubitt Terrace, Clapham, shortly after 5.30pm, following reports of a man found injured nearby. 

An air ambulance scrambled to nearby Heathbrook Park, which is close to the railway station, while police officers arrested a 23-year-old man nearby on suspicion of attempted murder. 

He remains in custody at a South London police station. 

The injured man’s injuries were not life-threatening or life-changing.
