Millwall appoint Andy Marshall as goalkeeping coach

Millwall have appointed Andy Marshall as their new goalkeeping coach.

The Lions announced earlier this morning that Lee Turner had left his post.

Marshall, 47, had been employed by Birmingham City until Lee Bowyer was recently removed as manager.

Marshall had been on the backroom team at Charlton Athletic but joined the Blues in June 2021. Bowyer had quit as Addicks boss a few months earlier to take charge at the Championship club.

Marshall, who had three spells at The Den during his playing days, will oversee the development of the club’s first-team and development squad. He played for the Lions when they reached the 2004 FA Cup final, losing 3-0 to Manchester United.

The former England U21 international started his coaching career at Aston Villa.
