Millwall boss on goalkeeper coach change – as Andy Marshall replaces Lee Turner

Gary Rowett has given his reaction to Andy Marshall being appointed as Millwall’s new goalkeeping coach.
The Lions announced earlier this week that their former player had taken on the role.
Marshall also had a spell as goalkeeping coach at Charlton. He replaces Lee Turner, who stepped down from the position.
Millwall boss Rowett told the South London Press: “I spoke to LT in the summer and he said he hadn’t had a break for a long time. He’s a top goalkeeper coach.
“He will feel better for the rest. He said: ‘I’m at a point where I need a breather, I need a bit of time with my family’.
“From there we went about trying to replace LT, which is very difficult because he is a very good goalkeeping coach. I’m sure he will go on to work at a very high level again because he is very, very good.
“Andy comes in. He’s got a little bit of history with the club and knows what the club is all about. He’s worked at the top level and worked with very good goalkeepers and had excellent impact on them in terms of their performances.
“He was a very simple person to bring in once we knew we needed to move forward in a different way.
“I’ve enjoyed the first few days already. He’s a bubbly character and I think he’ll be a different voice and a bit of a fresh start for the keepers.”
