Millwall loanee set for UEFA Nations League semi-finals with Hungary – but first they need to avoid defeat to Italy
Millwall loanee Callum Styles looks set to play in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.
The versatile 22-year-old, who the Lions signed just before the summer transfer window shut, is away on international duty with Hungary.
Marco Rossi’s side beat Germany 1-0 away from home on Friday evening with Styles coming on for the final 12 minutes to help his side get over the line.
After Italy defeated England on Friday, Hungary need to avoid defeat against the reigning European champions if they want to get to the next stage.
George Saville played 67 minutes in Northern Ireland’s 2-1 win against Kosovo as they took a big step in securing their place in the Nations League B competition.
But they still need to get a result against Greece tomorrow evening if they want to finalise that and stay in the group.
Charlie Cresswell – who is on loan to Millwall from Leeds United – played 90 minutes for England U21s as they claimed a 2-0 victory against Italy on Thursday evening.
A brace from Rhian Brewster was enough to secure all three points for the young Three Lions ahead of their match against Germany at Bramall Lane tomorrow evening.
