Millwall transfer target undergoing medical ahead of switch to SE16

Millwall are moving closer to a deal for OH Leuven midfielder Casper De Norre.

The South London Press understands that the 26-year-old is undergoing a medical with the Championship club.

The Lions are also working through the process to obtain a work permit for the former Belgium U21 international.

De Norre has been a key target for Milwall with talks ongoing since May.

The former Genk and Sint-Truiden player has been a key performer for OH Leuven.

While De Norre is able to play at right wing-back the priority for the South Londoners is to boost their midfield depth – a position he has been converted into.

De Norre scored four goals and also claimed four assists last season for Leuven as they finished mid-table in Belgium’s top-flight. He both scored and assisted in victories over Zulte Waregem and RFC Seraing.

De Norre was capped eight times at U21 level by his country and had seven caps for their U17s.
