Motorcycle rider arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after 80-year-old killed

The rider of a motorbike has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after an 80-year-old pedestrian was killed in a collision in Brixton.

Police were called to Acre Lane at 3.45pm on Sunday, where the incident is thought to have happened between Trinity Gardens and Brixton Hill.

Acre Lane was closed throughout the afternoon following the collision and police have confirmed the man has died.

Any witnesses are asked to call 101 and quote reference 4569/24apr.
