40-year-old man arrested after woman stabbed to death in Wandsworth today

A woman has been stabbed to death.

The Met have launched a murder investigation in Wandsworth after a woman was fatally stabbed.

Police were called on Wednesday, August 15 at around 12:30pm to a report of a stabbing at a house in Grayshott Road.

Officers attended along with paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance.

A woman, believed to be aged in her 30s was found with a stab injury. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:41pm.

Her next of kin have not yet been informed.

Formal identification awaits and a post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.

Enquiries are ongoing. At this stage, police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation.
