Alarm as police firearms units swoop following gunshots in Brixton
Armed units of police swooped on a street in Brixton after gunshots were fired.
Detectives investigating the firearm discharge in Listowel Close, Brixton at 2.30pm yesterday, Tuesday, are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Armed police officers attended the scene, just off Brixton Road, near its junction with Cranmer Road.
Trident detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command believe that a firearm was discharged at the scene and are investigating the incident.
There are no reported injuries and no arrests have been made at this time.
