Alleged mobile phone theft gang from Notting Hill remanded in custody

Four men – three of them from Notting Hill – have been charged with theft and fraud offences relating to mobile phones as a result of an investigation by Southwark police.

The men were charged on Tuesday with conspiracy to dishonestly receive stolen goods and conspiracy to commit fraud by making a false representation between December 28, 2022 and this month.

Zakaria Senadjki, 30, Riyadh Mamouni, 25, and Ahmed Belhanafi, 25, all of Dartmouth Close, and Nazih Cheraitia, 33, of Wales Farm Road, Acton, appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, and have been remanded in custody. They will next appear at Southwark Crown Court on Tuesday, March 26.

The charges follow a proactive investigation by Met officers into multiple phone and identification document thefts across London.

Officers conducted raids on Monday, resulting in the seizure of multiple suspected stolen mobile phones and the recovery of assets alleged to be linked to fraudulent activity.

Anyone who is a victim of a robbery or who has seen a robbery take place should dial 999 immediately.
