Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a man who has been missing from his Peckham home for a week.

Richard Rodrigues, 29, is non-verbal and communicates using sign language.

He was reported missing on September 13 and last seen in Camberwell Road on Monday.

Mr Rodrigues is known to use public transport and has links to various locations around London, the Met said.

Detective Inspector Jay Navaratnarajah, of the Met’s Public Protection Department, based in South London, said: “Richard’s family are understandably worried and the longer he remains missing, the more the concern grows for his welfare.

“We believe Richard tried to make phone contact using a messaging service in the early hours of this morning  – Richard, if that was you, please get in contact or go to a police station so we know that you are safe and well.”

If you see Mr Rodrigues, dial 999 immediately. Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101, quoting reference 01/837718/24.
