Apprentice job fair wants to open new doors for Southwark workforce
An apprenticeships jobs fair is taking place at the Passmore Centre next Wednesday (March 20) from 10am-3pm.
The centre, at London South Bank University, Borough Road, Southwark, has been organised by Step Ahead – a recruitment and training services agency – in collaboration with Southwark council.
The fair is tailored specifically for individuals residing in Southwark who are eager to earn while they learn, paving the way for rewarding careers in various sectors.
This event represents a prime opportunity for those unemployed, seeking their first job, or contemplating a career shift, to directly engage with leading employers that are actively seeking to fill apprenticeship positions.
Residents are invited to meet with top employers, apply for apprenticeships, and take the first step towards new careers.
The various fields of employment include: construction, early years care (nurseries), office/admin apprenticeships, clinical and non-clinical healthcare, quantity surveying, front-of-house/customer services, chef and hospitality.
Neil Coyle, MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark, will open the fair, signifying the importance of this initiative to the local area.
