Apprenticeship event for 15 and overs held at Civic Office in Bexleyheath next month
Registrations for the council’s popular annual apprenticeship event are now open.
The free event will take place from 6.30pm until 8.30pm on Tuesday, February 26 at the civic offices in Bexleyheath.
The event is for anyone aged 15 and above who is interested in apprenticeships.
Those wanting to go to the event can attend with parents and carers, but need to register in advance for a place at: www.bexley.gov.uk/apprenticeshipevent.
There will be more than 55 training providers, employers, college, universities and support services for visitors to speak to on the day.
Visitors will be able to get advice on how to find and apply for apprenticeships, and see what vacancies are currently available.
Cabinet member for education, Cllr John Fuller said: “More than 700 young people attended the event last year and, since then, we’re seeing even more Year 11 students expressing an interest in apprenticeships for post-16 study education.
“Apprenticeships are an excellent way for young people to achieve degree-level qualifications in the workplace, while earning a decent wage.
“Our event aims to help young people understand how an apprenticeship can benefit them.”
