Attackers remains on the loose after New Year’s Eve stabbing

Police want to speak to witnesses after a 20-year-old man was stabbed on New Year’s Eve.

The victim was attacked by two men at around 5pm in Plumstead Road at the junction with Walmer Terrace, Plumstead.

He was taken to hospital, where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing. He has since been discharged, the Met said.

Officers found a BB gun near the scene. A spokesman for the Met said enquiries remained ongoing to establish whether this is linked to the assault.

The attackers remain on the loose, with no arrests made.
