Breaking: Armed police lock down Lewisham High Street
Armed police have locked down Lewisham High Street after a man was seen allegedly waving a knife outside a window.
Cops were called at around 10.45am this morning.
Police are currently in attendance at the scene alongside London Ambulance Service crews and the London Fire Brigade.
Videos circulating on social media show a man waving a knife outside a window, as he is seen yelling to people on the road.
A spokeswoman for the Met said: “We are speaking to a man inside an address at the location.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish whether anyone else is inside the property.”

Traffic monitoring site INRIX says Lewisham High Street is shut in both directions between Clarendon Rise and Rennell Street with congestion going half a mile back down Lee High Road.
