Charlton Manor Primary kids make international sarnies

Schoolchildren received a lesson on making sandwiches inspired by cuisine from around the world.

Pupils in Reception and Year 1 at Charlton Manor Primary School in Indus Road learnt about where different ingredients come from in a workshop hosted by Asda Charlton.

The ingredients included French cheeses, Spanish cured hams, ripe avocados for a taste of Mexico and freshly baked British bread.

The group were also encouraged to complete a world food worksheet, asking them to draw the different ingredients and identify which country they came from.
