Chef to hand out Spanish-inspired dishes on Easter Sunday

A TV chef will be handing out meals to medics on the front line on Easter Sunday.

Sicilian chef and former-co-star of Gordon Ramsay, Enzo Oliveri, will be cooking up a storm in Lavender Hill, Battersea, bearing gifts of Spanish-inspired dishes for London’s NHS staff.

NHS healthcare professionals are risking their lives every day to help Britain get through this unprecedented pandemic, so Enzo will give something back in the form of his much-loved paella.

Chef Enzo, who has cooked for the likes of John Travolta and Frank Sinatra in his restaurants, said: “I really want to give back to the staff working in NHS London hospitals during this tough time.

“These front line healthcare workers are working day and night to help keep Londoners safe and healthy during the pandemic, so it’s important that we give back even if it is just for one meal.”

Enzo will be delivering fresh plates of paella to Charing Cross Hospital on Sunday. NHS staff can also pick up a gorgeous plate of Chef Enzo’s Paella at El Patio Tapas Bar & Restaurant from 1pm on Sunday – provided they show a piece of NHS ID and adhere to social distancing measures.

Public-spirited Enzo was also serving hot meals to homeless people on Christmas Day for a second year in a row.

Enzo has worked alongside some of the world’s most revered chefs – Paul Hollywood, Aldo Zilli and Gordon Ramsay. He now owns El Patio in Clapham Junction and Bromley.
