Cyclist left with life-threatening injuries after collision with van
Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Wandsworth.
Police were called at around 10.30pm on Friday following a collision involving a van and a cyclist in Tooting Bec Road at the junction with Franciscan Road.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. The cyclist was taken to hospital with their condition described as life-threatening.
The 50-year-old driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of causing serious personal injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at an accident and being unfit through drink. He remains in custody.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
