A cyclist has been seriously injured after a collision with an e-scooter rider and police are appealing for witnesses.

Cops were called shortly before 10pm on Saturday, April 29, after reports of a collision involving a 65-year-old cyclist and an e-scooter rider opposite Somerset House on Victoria Embankment, Westminster.

Met police officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a critical condition. His family have been informed.

The e-scooter involved in the collision is described as having off-road type wheels, and the rider was wearing a helmet with a visor and carrying a rucksack with LEDs on the rear showing a ‘Pacman” logo.

The rider is thought to have stopped and asked the man if he was OK, possibly in an Eastern European accent, before riding off.
