Deptford man charged with murder after alleged stabbing of woman

A man from Greenwich is to appear in court charged with the murder of a woman in Walthamstow.

Shaine March, 45, of Rainsborough Avenue, Deptford, will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday) charged with the murder of 32-year-old Alana Odysseos.

March was arrested after police were called to an address in Lynmouth Road, Walthamstow, at around 3am yesterday following reports of an injured woman.

Alana was found suffering stab wounds and died at the scene.

March and Alana were known to each other.

An investigation was launched, led by homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command. March was charged in the early hours of this morning.
