Discounted food for subscribers at Peckham Pantry

A shop where you pay a subscription to get reduced price food has opened up.

At the Peckham Pantry, for a weekly subscription of £4.50 customers can buy £15 worth of heavily discounted items every week.

The store sells fresh food and store cupboard items along with offering health advice and operating a credit union.

The partnership between St Luke’s Church in Chandler Way in Peckham, and Pecan, a food bank running since 1989, hopes to reduce food bills for the community while also providing nutritious products.

The shop’s opening hours are 9am until 4pm Monday to Wednesday and Friday, until 7pm on Thursdays and 3pm on Saturdays.
