Diverse careers fair on the way in Elephant and Castle

By Kelsey McCabe

Those seeking entry-level positions or exploring new industries can participate in a career fair featuring around 30 exhibitors from a diverse array of industries.

On June 27, Elephant and Castle Town Centre, in collaboration with hosts Southwark College and the Mayor of Southwark, councillor Naima Ali, will hold a career fair open to anyone aged 16 or above.

This year’s fair is slated to include ten more exhibitors than last year’s inaugural event, representing a wide range of industries, including property management, public service, space, construction, and higher education.

A number of notable London organizations will be present at the fair to highlight opportunities in both the workforce and higher education, including the Metropolitan Police, Transport for London, London Southbank University, and I’m a Space Person.

Mayor of Southwark, councillor Naima Ali said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to discover a range of career and educational opportunities in Southwark and across London.”

“We also encourage local job-seekers and those contemplating a career change to visit the Careers Fair and explore the opportunities available.”

The Elephant and Castle Careers Fair will be held from 1-5pm at Southwark College.
