Earl’s Court killing: Man is charged over death of 78-year-old

A man is due to appear in court charged with murder following the death of a 78-year-old man.

Aston Lambert, 32, of Longridge Road, Earl’s Court will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.

An investigation was launched after police were called to a residential address in Longridge Road on Sunday.

Police officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene but the man died at the scene.

A Met police spokesman said: “The family of the victim have been informed and have asked for privacy at this very difficult time.”

A cause of death has yet to be made public.
