Elm Park post office reopens next door with longer opening hours

The Elm Park post office opened at a new location next door to its old one on Friday of last week.

The post office has moved from 66 Elm Park to the V7 Local Store at number 68.

The post office will be open Monday to Friday, 9am until 5.30pm and on Saturday from 9.30am until 4.30pm.

This means that opening hours have more than doubled as the previous branch was only open on week day afternoons.

Jason Collins, Post Office Network Provision Manager, said: “We are delighted to have a permanent solution at a nearby store.

“This has safeguarded service and allowed the previous Postmaster to retire.”
