Ex-England footballer’s charity donates 17-seater minibus to Wandsworth school children with autism

An ex-England footballer’s charity has donated a 17-seater minibus to help children with autism.

Dennis Wise , who was also Millwall FC’s manager from 2002-05 – has handed over the minibus to charity BeyondAutism to help children get out and about.

The handover of the minibus took place at Park House School, North Side Wandsworth Common, with the former midfielder, trustees from the foundation, BeyondAutism pupils and staff.

The minibus will be used at Park House School but also at Tram House School, Garratt Lane, Earlsfield.

It will take pupils out of the school and allow them to go to the library, shops, gyms, lots of social activities as well as access to work placements.

Kieran Bird, head of Park House School said “We are so grateful for their generous donation of a minibus. With this bus, we will able to further our pupils’ learning and extend community opportunities.

“I am certain that all our pupils will benefit from this and they are all very excited to see what adventures lie ahead!”

Mr Wise started his non-for-profit charity in 2000. They have so far donated 18 minibuses out of a target of 100.
