Five people charged for ignoring dispersal order at pro-Palestine rally
Five people have been charged following a pro-Palestine demonstration at London Waterloo Station at the weekend.
Police enforced a Section 14a order under the Public Order Act 1986 at the Station, on Saturday, after being made aware of a planned protest due to take place inside in the afternoon.
Five people were subsequently arrested for breaching the prohibition order and have each been charged with two public order offences under the Public Order Act 1986.
Pia Lu Bastide, 29, of Drayton Road, Leytonstone, Paul Sheeky, 48, of Tynedale Avenue, Crewe Cheshire, Callum Goode, 24, of Compton Street, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Abigail Percy-Ratcliff, 24, of Drayton Road, Leytonstone and Fraser Peter Graham, 27, of Windmill Close, Canterbury have been released on bail to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on December 6.
They have all been released under conditions not to enter Waterloo, Charing Cross, Kings Cross, London Bridge, Euston, Liverpool Street, Marylebone, Paddington, Victoria and St Pancras railway stations.
The Met said the order was made because of the “significant disruption” the demonstration could have caused to the rail network and the “safety of the public”.
