Girl punched in the face three times and racially abused at Gipsy Hill station

Police investigating an assault on a group of girls at Gipsy Hill station have released images of a man wanted in connection with the attack.

Shortly before 7.45pm on Thursday, February 6, a man barged into a group of young schoolgirls. When one of them, a 16-year-old, challenged him, he racially abused her and punched her in face three times.

When the other girls attempted to stop him, he then assaulted them too.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he could have information that could help their investigation into events at the station next to Sainsbury Road.

Anyone who recognises him or has any other information, is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 726 of 06/02/2025.
