Huge thanks to shoppers for Giving Tree donations at The Glades in Bromley
Shoppers donated more than 200 gifts to a shopping centre’s appeal last month.
The Glades Shopping Centre is thanking its customers who made its Giving Tree appeal a success.
The presents were delivered to children throughout Bromley and the surrounding areas, who are supported by The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust (CCCT).
Gifts included toys, books, stationery and more. Glades director Mark Haynes, pictured above, said: “We are truly thankful to all who took the time to purchase an additional present and donate it to our Giving Tree appeal.
“This simple gesture has resulted in so many little boys and girls receiving a wonderful surprise, and for this we cannot say ‘thank you’ enough.
“The CCCT is an essential charity, which does so much to provide care and support for children and their families facing complex and challenging health conditions.
“The campaign also served as an opportunity for The Glades and the people of Bromley to express our appreciation for the all the hard-working team members.”
Marketing coordinator for Childhood Cancer Support Groups, Michelle Simpson, said: “We would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to The Glades and all the shoppers for your very generous support. You have helped make a big difference to many children at Christmas and put big smiles on their faces.”
