‘I am absolutely terrified’: Team of 11 running the London marathon for Lambeth charity

A mental health charity based in Brixton has a team of 11 runners taking part in the London Marathon next month.

The team, made up of Lambeth residents, will be raising funds for the charity Mosaic Clubhouse.

Mosaic Clubhouse has been working in Lambeth for nearly 30 years to support people who are living with a mental health condition.

Mosaic provides opportunities for people living with mental health challenges to build skills and confidence and get into work and education.

Damaris, part of the team and also a member of staff at Mosaic, said: “I am not a runner. I am absolutely terrified to be running the London marathon.

“I am immensely fortunate to be part of the Mosaic community and witness first hand its impact on improving the lives of people struggling with their mental health.

“In these extraordinary times we live in, it is hard to find anyone who has not been touched by the effects of mental health, and I really want to put Mosaic on the map.”
