A school teacher from a Lewisham school has died of coronavirus.

Jan Docker, who taught at Stillness Junior School, in Brockley Rise, passed away over Christmas, the school has confirmed.

The head teacher at Stillness Junior School, Mitzi Nichol, said in a January 2021 newsletter: “As you are aware, we tragically lost our dear colleague, Jan Docker, over the Christmas period to Covid-19.

“I would like to thank everyone for all the emails we have received offering condolences and appreciation for the huge amount of work and support Jan offered during her time here.”

The school now plans to create a book of condolence, which will be passed on to her family.
