Local Care Company gets the seal of approval

A home care company has been named one of the top 20 in London.

Home Instead Senior Care Wandsworth, Lambeth and Dulwich, has won the award for the sixth time, based on its reviews on homecare.co.uk from the people they care for, plus their friends and relatives.

Tony O’Flaherty, owner of Home Instead Senior Care, said: “This award means a lot to us because it is a direct result of unbiased feedback from our clients and their families.

“Our caregivers always go above and beyond to make sure older people can stay happy at home, none more so than during the challenges of the pandemic over the last few months, so we’re thrilled to see that our care is being recognised for the 6th year running.

“Many of our caregivers join the team because they want to make a positive difference in their communities.  They join us with an empathetic nature and passion for the role, which are prized above previous experience.”

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of homecare.co.uk, said: “High quality home care is crucial as it enables people to stay living in their own homes and keep their independence, with their home care worker often becoming their friend and companion as well as their lifeline to the outside world.

“During the pandemic, their contribution has been invaluable as many vulnerable and elderly people have been forced to self-isolate and to some of these, care workers have been their only link with the rest of society. They have also been able to bring people living at home, food and the medication they desperately need.

“Home Instead Senior Care Wandsworth has shown that it provides care that is of excellent quality and we would like to congratulate it on being one of the top home care providers in London.”

One of the reviews of Home Instead reads: “Home Instead have been fantastic with us. They are kind, caring and we feel very safe with them. The director has gone above and beyond to help us and he has a lovely energy about him. We would strongly recommend them.”

Home Instead takes a unique, person-centred approach to home care, which benefits both clients and the team. Clients are supported to live as independently as possible, by caregivers that they come to know well and who visit for a minimum of an hour at a time.

The homecare.co.uk Top 20 Home Care Awards are based on nearly over 14,000 reviews by service users and family / friends of service users from between 1st May 2018 and 30th April 2020. Please follow this link for the full list of winners: https://www.homecare.co.uk/awards/
