Man, 32, charged with murder of boy after fatal shooting

A man has been charged with murder after a boy died in a shooting last week.

Omar Prempeh, 32, of Stanstead Road, Forest Hill, was charged with murder on Saturday, following the fatal shooting of Lathaniel Burrell.

Lathaniel, from Stockwell, died at the scene after being shot in Paradise Road, by Stockwell Tube station, on March 4. He was 16 years old.

Prempeh will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.

Specialist police officers are supporting Lathaniel’s family, the Met said.
