Man, 38, arrested on suspicion of murder as police issue separate image of man they want to speak to over Sabina Nessa killing and search for car he may have had the use of

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Catford teacher Sabina Nessa, police have said.

It is the second arrest that has been made in relation to Ms Nessa’s murder. A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and released under investigation, police said previously.

The 38-year-old man was arrested at an address in Lewisham and taken into custody, where he remains.

Separately, the Metropolitan Police has also released an image of a man its detectives wish to speak to in relation to the murder

Images, taken from CCTV, show him walking in Pegler Square, Kidbrooke, on the evening Ms Nessa was attacked

The force has also released an image of a silver vehicle they believe the man had access to, which was also seen in the area.

Police have urged anyone who recognises the man and vehicle to contact them immediately.
