Man and woman charged in connection with murder of Dontae McLaren
A man and a woman have been charged in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Dontae McLaren, who was stabbed to death last month.
Tyanne Corbin, 25, and Hamid Hamdi, 25, appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday charged with causing Mr McLaren grievous bodily harm with intent, and violent disorder.
An active court reporting restriction means the defendants’ addresses cannot be published.
Corbin and Hamdi were both remanded in custody to appear at Kingston Crown Court on November 6.
Police were called just after 4am on September 29, following reports of a large group fighting with knives in Wandsworth Road.
Officers, London Ambulance Service crews and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Mr McLaren was pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist officers are supporting his family, police said.
Previously Dynzell Patrick, 26, appeared in court charged with Dontae’s murder. He is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on December 23.
A 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and causing grievous bodily harm is currently on bail. He is due to appear in court in early November.
