Man hospitalised after New Year’s Eve stabbing

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed on New Year’s Eve near a train station.

The man was stabbed at around 5pm near Plumstead railway station, in Walmer Terrace, Plumstead.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing, the Met said.

Officers found a BB gun near the scene. 

The attacker remains on the loose with no arrests made at this point.

A spokesman from the Met said: “Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, ref 4383/31dec”
