Man hospitalised after stabbing in Peckham shopping street

A man was taken to hospital with knife wounds after a stabbing in the early hours yesterday morning.

Cops were called at around 5.15am to reports that a man had been stabbed in Rye Lane, Peckham.

On arrival, officers found the victim collapsed in the street. They performed emergency CPR until London Ambulance Service crews arrived.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment. The Met has confirmed his condition is not life threatening.

No arrests have been made as enquiries into the circumstances continue.

Road closures were put in place while the scene was cleared, these have now been removed but a crime scene remains in place.
