Man in 30s is charged with the murder of Kidbrooke school teacher Sabina Nessa
A man in his 30s has been charged with the murder of Kidbrooke school teacher Sabina Nessa.
Koci Selamaj, 36, of Terminus Road, Eastbourne, was charged today.
He will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (September 28).
Selamaj was arrested in Eastbourne, East Sussex, in the early hours of Sunday before being taken into police custody.
A file was submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service earlier today and a charge was authorised as above.
Sabina Nessa, 28, has been remembered as “kind, caring and absolutely dedicated to her pupils” by Lisa Williams, head of Rushey Green Primary School, Catford, where she worked.
Detectives understand that Ms Nessa left her home in Astell Road, Kidbrooke, just before 8.30pm on Friday, September 17 .
It is believed she was making her way through Cator Park towards The Depot bar on Pegler Square, Kidbrooke Village, where she planned to meet a friend.
Sabina never arrived at the pub and is thought to have been murdered as she walked through the park.
Her body was found close to the OneSpace community centre within the park at around 5.30pm the following day.
