Man in 50s dies after falling from height in Woolwich
A man in his 50s died after falling from a height yesterday afternoon in Woolwich.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) was called at around 1.10pm to Calderwood Street.
Ambulance crews, members of the LAS’s Hazardous Area Response Team and a London Air Ambulance were all dispatched to the scene.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police were also called to the incident at around 1.15pm.
Officers are currently working to notify the man’s next of kin, and a police cordon remains at the scene.
A spokesman for the Met said: “At this time, the incident is being treated as unexplained, but there is no evidence to suggest suspicious circumstances. Enquiries are ongoing.”
